FAQ
-
Proper grooming plays a crucial role in maintaining your dog's overall health and well-being. Regular grooming sessions not only keep their coat clean and tangle-free but also prevents matting. Longer coats often require grooming every four to six weeks to prevent matting, tangles, and hygiene-related concerns. Regular grooming of long-haired/curly coated breeds is essential to avoid discomfort, skin irritations, and the formation of painful mats. Shorter coats may go every 6- 8 weeks between grooming to maintain their nails and a healthy coat.

If you are a proud puppy parent, you may be wondering when the ideal time is to take your furry friend to see the groomer. Puppies, just like adult dogs, can benefit from professional grooming services. However, it is recommended to wait until your puppy is at least 8-12 weeks old before scheduling their first grooming appointment. This timeframe allows your puppy to become accustomed to their new surroundings and settle into their new home. Additionally, they would have had enough time to build up their immunity and receive the necessary vaccinations. Grooming plays a crucial role in maintaining your puppy's coat, keeping their nails trim, and promoting overall hygiene. Establishing a grooming routine early on will help your puppy feel comfortable and look their absolute best as they continue to grow.

When scheduling a dog grooming appointment, it's important to consider the length of time it will take to provide proper care and grooming for your furry friend. The duration of a dog grooming appointment can vary depending on several factors, such as the size, breed, coat condition, and specific grooming services required. On average, a basic grooming session, including bathing, brushing, nail trimming, and ear cleaning, can take anywhere from 2 - 4 hours. It is highly recommended to plan accordingly so that your pet may have a comfortable stress free visit and be able to go home as soon as they are finished!

I am currently accepting new clients as long as you and your pup meet the criteria on my policy page. Please see policy page for more information.

I price based on the amount of time it takes, the temperament of your pet, the condition of their coat and the type of groom they receive. Very small dogs like yorkies and Maltese’s start at $55 while bigger dogs like goldendoodles and bernedoodles can range from $100-$120 as they are triple the amount of work compared to a small dog and take much more time. Please see services page for more info.
